re: Name Game Deux?
Hmmm... well, being that I grew up in Amherst, I knew people with names like MLE (pronounced Emily), Amelie, Kira, Paloma, Ingrid, Caretia (Cur ee sha), Sara (pronounced SaarUh), Willow Wind, Sushene, Mikeila, etc. etc. You get the point. The impression that the other kids always had was that their parents were trying really hard to give them a unique name and that they always tried hard to live up to it! Unfortunately, little kids like to pick on names that are different. (Jerry and I had a good laugh just now when I brought up MLE). With a last name like "Rainford-Dreibelbis" and given the fact that she will be a member of a multiracial family, simple old Molly would be my pick for a nickname. As a child you want nothing more than to fit in. Maybe when she goes off to college she would change it to Molli or Mollipop herself!

As one who has recently chosen their nickname (e.g. Uncle Tommy vs. Uncle Thomas), I greatly value your opinion and would like to formally announce that I agree with you (2 to 1, Cheryl, ha).
P.S. Thank you for being the first person that is not Cheryl or me to post on the site.
