It was two years ago today that we received the telephone call and emailed little picture that forever changed our lives. It was also GOL’s annual Holiday Party making it a nice little convergence of celebration. However, like two years ago, it was snowing, so Santa didn’t make his traditional appearance. Nevertheless, the cookies were still very good.
After the Holiday Party we joined 18,500 of our closest friends at Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey's little get together. While Iowa politics usually involve presidential hopefuls sharing coffee in a living room, this event was a spectacle. It was fun to be a part of the show, but did little to move either of us off the undecided list. Molly on the other hand was very impressed. She likes Barack because he is "tall and skinny".
