It's Your Birthday! It's Your Birthday!

Today, Molly is three! Goodbye terrible two's....hello terrific threes!

At the crack of 6:30 Molly woke up and was ready to celebrate. After watching the pile of gifts slowly grow over the last couple of days, the second thing she asked this morning was if she could finally open those presents (the first thing she asked was whether she could put on her cloud socks). And we were off!

Unlike X-mas, Molly was excited to open each present and admired the gift. She was particularly please with new soft pajamas and ingenious paper doll book. She also spent a long time playing with her new Pretty Pony's and imagining they were Cinderella.

Whether it was waking up at 6:30 or knowing we had a big afternoon planned, Molly very conveniently took a nap at 11:00 giving Cheryl time to pickup the cake and balloons. When Molly woke up at 1:oo she was in great mood and ready to party!

Molly's Birthday party was at Firehouse Yoga (www.firehouseyoga.net) with eight of her friends (and a parent or two) ranging in age from 2-6. Maggie, the studio director and instructor, started the party with a 1/2 hour kids yoga class.

Lots of Moo-Meow, Lion Face, Downward Dog, and head-stands burned off (some) energy. As Auntie Nan pointed out, Downward Dog with party hats looks more like Downward Unicorn

The parents got involved with Walking the Dog and making a tunnel for the kids to crawl through.

With energy burned off, we loaded 'em back up with sugar.

Princess cake, ice cream, sugar cookies, and a few kids even tried carrots and snow peas. The party ended with a non-violent butterfly pinata...at the count of three, each girl pulled a string opening the pinata and spilling stickers, toys, and candy. I believe everyone went home happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!
