With Tom safely with us, Wednesday was a full on snow day (even for me). With 11 inches of snow, high winds, and lots of drifts, we hunkered down inside. We had waffles and bacon for breakfast, a brief stint in the snow, a couch pillow fort, lots of games, and introducing Uncle Tommy to The Othersiders and Flapjack.
On Thursday, I had to go back to work, but Molly's school was still closed. Rather than sit around the house, Molly, Cheryl, and Tom used the power of AWD to have breakfast at La Mie, brought coffee to our shut-in single Mom friend who was still snowed in, and went bowling. While Uncle Tommy rolled a 157, Molly did admirably with a six pound bowling ball. The evening was concluded with a spicy dinner at Thai Flavors. After a second day of full-on-Molly, Uncle Tommy admitted that he might not be ready for children. But he is now Molly's favorite uncle.
Friday, Molly was back in school, giving Uncle Tommy a break. Not realizing that Bill and Phyllis had been shut in for two days, Cheryl took Bill to work and Phyllis to do some shopping. For reasons not quite clear to me (perhaps it was the snow and cold), Cheryl and Tom toured the Salisbury House learning way to much about the Weeks Family, their make-up fortune, and their celebrity guests.
Uncle Tommy is scheduled to leave tomorrow morning and he will will be very much missed. Although I believe he will sleep well for the next couple of nights.
We hope to publish some pictures soon.
