Flexible fuel

Farmers in the state will be happy to learn that Molly received a flexible-fuel vehicle for her birthday. It is a 2006 FisherPrice Corn Popper with all the options.

Molly, as it turns out, was born to ride. She took to it instantly and has only slipped off a few times. She stayed on it so long last night she was falling asleep at the handlebars.

She has figured out how to propel herself forward using her feet, while sitting on it. She also has figured out a death defying, no fear, no holds barred "whoa-where-are-the-brakes" lunging full tilt run while holding the blue handle at the back that frightens Mom and Dad. She even goes over the bump from the dining room to the new room without batting a lovely eyelash (Mom bats all of her eyelashes, however, and grits her teeth.) The whole thing usually ends with a thunk into a wall and a plunking down onto her behind. So far she hasn't figured out how to pull herself up on it, though, so we still hold the keys, so to speak.

Ding Ding. Round two of baby proofing is underway.
