Tying up some loose ends

Lest you think that we are neglecting our child, there are a couple of things we did over the summer that we have failed to document. They include:

1. Molly was on the Jumbotron. It was an I-Cubs (Triple A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) game on a perfect summer evening. She was quite taken by the fact that everyone wore hats and loved to watch the pitcher. But during the break between the third and fourth inning, the stadium camera caught Molly dancing on Cheryl's lap. The cuteness was overwhelming and they nearly had to suspend the game.

2. Our State Fair is the Best State Fair. Of course Molly made it to the Iowa State Fair. She loved the chickens. I mean really, really loved the chickens. We were able to keep her away from the fried Snicker bars for this year anyway. Perhaps 4H or FFA are in her future.

3. Easy Rider. Molly has taken to riding in her Burley trailer. We have gone on a couple of picnics as a family and Cheryl and Molly can run errands during the week. Next summer is going to be even more fun!

4. Daddy, buy me a pony. While back east after Tom and Kate's wedding, Molly and Cheryl visited the Austin's farm near Amherst...and they have a pony! The pictures seem to indicate that Molly had fun and the pony did not appear to have been harmed.
