Molly has been excited since Family Day when she found out that Justin Roberts and Not Ready for Naptime Players were coming to town. As you may have noted Molly has been memorizing several of his songs since she received his 2002 release "Not Naptime" for X-mas (thanks Aunt Kay!). Turns out that Justin Roberts grew up in Des Moines (!!) and was Sarah's 5th grade boyfriend (!!!). The concert was a fundraiser for Coles Montessori and a celebration of 100 years of Montessori schools (this reminds us that we need to get Molly on the Coles waiting list).
The concert was great. Molly immediately connected the voice and started requesting her favorite songs. There was dancing and clapping, and several songs where she just listened intently (admittedly there were also some periods of kid watching and distracted running around). However, as the concert wrapped up and it seemed like Molly was not going to hear her favorite song, Justin concluded the encore with "Billy the Bully" (or as Molly calls it "The Bully Song"). It was the perfect concert!
