Molly and Cheryl left for their pre-vacation very early Thursday morning. Cheryl gently woke Molly up at 5:40 AM. Like a trooper, Molly's only question was "Can I bring blankie on vacation?" While I have been catching up on sleep (is 8:00 PM too early for bed?), Molly and Cheryl are reporting trips to the beach, lots of dancing, something about an MG, and the best chocolate ice cream...ever! I can report that the painting is going slowly.
We also had a great visit from Bumpa, Grndma, Jacob, and Mac. They took the train out to visit and I hope had as much fun as we did. Molly recognized that boys are loud and learned lots of new tricks...like how to climb up the railing on the deck. The boys bravely explored our muddy ravine and learned that a 2-year old can be like velcro.
I really appreciated everyone's willingness to troop here and there following my triathlon adventure...especially Bumpa who got up with Doug and me at 3:45 AM to make sure we got to the starting line (at 37 years old he still make sure I make my races on time and can spot my pathetic freestyle at 500 yards). Thanks Dad...you are the best!
This picture is unrelated to this post, but I wanted you to see it. I have no idea where this was taken or what is going on. I just like it.

The photo is Molly behind the Des Moines Art Center - she's standing in one of the cairns.
