Now that it is August I think we can discuss vacation without getting too depressed that it is over. In short, it was a great time. You cannot beat lack of cell and Blackberry reception for unwinding. Molly got with the program pretty quickly, except for getting up at the same time to make it to breakfast (somehow for her, being home is less structured than vacation?!?).
We spent a lot of time putting our feet in the water, taking nature hikes, playing, and dancing. There was also two other little girls Molly's age there during the week. Abby had just turned two and Erin was three and a Canadian. They did some playing together, participated in the kids activities the resort organized, and generally seemed to get along. Molly still likes to hear the story of chasing away storms with Erin and the time that Abby fell into the pool. When you are feeling sleepy sometime, I can tell you the story.
Cheryl and I both got some sailing in thanks to Phyllis' patience and willingness to take one of us out with her. We did get one sail in with the three of us which was a great time. As usual the views were magnificent, the lobster bisque was crazy good, and the weather was cooperative when it needed to be. The Howells kept us even keeled and Grammy and Grandpa got to spend time being Grammy and Grandpa. Unfortunately, Tom and Kate only made it up for the last couple of days. Lineken is not the same without them.
In case you were keeping track, I started Moby Dick for the fourth time and once again having a hard time getting back to it now that we are home. Wish we were still on vacation.
