Happy Turkey Day!

We hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving. Ours was very busy as we try out some new traditions. We started the morning off by attending Plymouth Congregational Church's Thanksgiving Day Pilgrim Service. The Plymouth Church Ministers, deacons, and choir all dress up in Pilgrim attire and the service is patterned after the worship in 18th century New England. Cheryl found the service very comfortable (including the men in Pilgrim buckle hats) and Molly enjoyed the singing.

After the service we headed out for the early matinee showing of Fantastic Mr. Fox. The movie was very enjoyable and entertained both adults and child alike. Molly wanted to leave during a particularly suspenseful scene involving a rabid dog, but otherwise watched the entire movie. We did learn, however, that if Cheryl and Molly attend a movie together, a small popcorn will not suffice.

From the movie we raced home so Cheryl could whip together several side dishes for the Thanksgiving meal. For dinner, we were invited to Kari and Greg's home and were joined by Steve and Susan and their daughter. The meal was wonderful with all of the traditional fixings and the four girls very highly entertaining. The evening was capped by the girls putting on an interactive presentation of the Nutcracker in which each scene seemed to end with all of the girls jumping on Greg as the defeated Mouse King.

Happy Thanksgiving!
