Another Day at the Beach

After all of the excitement of yesterday, Molly slept past 6:30!

With all of Cheryl's event completed, we had the day off. We were originally thinking of heading to the swimming events, but we found out it was all the way back in Brisbane with the shuttle rides taking over an hour and half. So instead we decided to spend the morning on the beach. Molly did a lot of playing in the waters edge, I dug holes and trenches, and Cheryl relaxed.

After the beach we had lunch at a fantastic Indian restaurant, but Molly fell asleep before the food was served. This gave Cheryl time to run some errands and I could finish some posting.

We met up with Jim and Dani for dinner and ended up sitting with Brian, Anna, and Brian parents. They are from Maine, so we had some jokes about renumbered exits on the Maine Turnpike. While we were all chatting Molly asked if she could go play on the dance floor. We could keep an eye on her and it would allow us to have an adult conversation so we said sure. At the same time they were setting up for karaoke on the big stage. As the karaoke hosts started to sing, Molly joined in with some interpretive dance. Cute, we all though said and went back to our conversation. And then Cheryl looked over and said "Is that Molly on the stage?" And there she was, dancing on the stage and entertaining a very, very large crowd.

When Molly came running off stage she was so proud of herself and insisted that the nice woman would allow her back up on stage anytime she wanted. It was all we could do to keep her from running back up and continuing to perform. The rest of the evening we stopped by all nationalities assuring us of the cuteness of our daughter.
