Left is the view if you stand in the sunroom to the right of the new door, looking back toward the kitchen. If we wanted to pretend the sunroom was a bedroom, we would put a set of french doors to the right of the window. Can lights in the ceiling. The floor will be wood throughout the new part and the kitchen.Right is the view from the diningroom toward the kitchen opening and the addition. You can see the headers they put in to make openings in the bearing walls.
Here's the view if you were standing at the counter where the stove will be. The tiny window is above where the toilet will be. The bath/shower is not really that blue, it's some sort of protectant they put on it. The bathroom door will be what used to be the backdoor in the kitchen. We're getting it stripped right now and the window will be replaced with mirrors on both sides. It will swing into the bathroom, just missing the pedestal sink.
Left is the view as if you were the refrigerator, looking out back. The stove will be to the left and the sink to the right with cabinets between them and three pendant lights hung from the header. The lights we picked are fluted blown glass in a pale green. We're going to paint the kitchen the same hue of apple green. The cabinets will be white and the appliances will be black.Below is the view as if you were the pedestal sink in the bathroom, looking at where the eat-in area and the computer work station will be. Imagine a white countertop with an overhang over a row of stools, and cabinets along the far wall (upper and lower).
If the construction crew can find a way to do it, the piece of bowling alley from Mom and Dad's old kitchen will be the counter in the computer area along the far wall. The bendy area will have bookshelves. On the right is where a low bookcase will block the view of the stove. The column, Jon wants to paint with chalkboard paint so we can use it as a message center. I guess I'm game for that, on one side at least.I'm keeping my eyes on the prize, if you can't tell.
