Molly and Daddy's Big Adventure - Day Three

We may have a hard time getting Molly to eat store bought tortillas. This evening Molly helped Bumpa make his homemade tortillas. It took a few minutes for them to define their roles, but Molly got very good at rolling the tortillas flat. At supper, she carefully placed her beans in the middle the tortilla, rolled it up, being sure to close one end. She ate two entire tortillas only stopping to repeatedly exclaim "These are the best tortillas ever!".

The rest of today was all about soccer. First off was Jacob's game. The Lions ended up losing a very closely contested game 2-1. Molly was happy because Mac and Jacob's neighbor 6-year old, Isabelle tagged along. While Jacob was battling the Thunder Cats, Molly, Isabelle, and Mac were entertaining themselves on the school play set.

Mac's game was later in the afternoon and was not closely contested nor did it include a play set. The Bombers were soundly defeated by at least 12-1, but we lost count after 10. Isabelle was still with us, however, so Molly had fun.

In exchange for hanging with Isabelle all afternoon, her dad, Omar, took all the kids to another fancy playground in the neighborhood. Since Molly is still in a real carseat, Granma and I followed them to the park and dropped her off.

As Molly ran along to play, I handed Omar her sippy cup, a box of band aids, and instructions that when she skins her knee, put a band aid on it and send her back on her away. He took them but had a very skeptical look on his face. An hour later when we returned to pick Molly up, Omar handed back the box with a big thank you and a complete understanding. She only needed three band aids this time.
