Bumpa, Granma, Auntie Jeanne, Mac and Jacob drove us to the train station last night to see us off. Perhaps it was checking on the schedule all day, but the train was reasonably close to being on time. The Conductor called for pink boarding cards first, but we were holding a blue card. With Granma's urging, we made a break for the train anyway. I let Molly flash her smile and we breezed through security. Heeding your advice, we chose seats in the middle of the train and were not bothered by doors or lights. Lesson learned.
Molly woke up this morning just before we entered Iowa. With the sun rising, we watched the Missouri river pass under us. A few hours later we arrived home safely with lots of stories of new playgrounds, fishing with Bumpa, reading Cinderella with Granma, making tortillas, and playing, playing, playing with Mac and Jacob. While the big adventure is over, the stories will live on.
