We finally made it! Cheryl and I are settled into our hotel room in the White Swan after enjoying a take-out dinner of spicy chicken and rice and going through all of our stuff to make sure we brought what we thought we brought. But first, lets start at the beginning.
We left LA this morning around 9:00 AM PST after waking up at 4:00 AM shower and get ready to be at the airport on time. For some reason the entire group got the full shake down in the security line. The flight left on time and was uneventful, except that it lasted 15 hours. A book and a couple of movies later we arrived in Guangzhou, China. We are two late, but no worse for wear.
After running the gauntlet of paperwork and fighting for space at the baggage claim we met our guide that Nelson has arranged to greet us. She quickly got us on the bus, checked into the White Swan, had our luggage delivered to our door. Now we just need to get some sleep and be ready to meet Molly at 4:00 PM tomorrow.
