So we fell asleep around 3:00 AM PST (5:00 AM CST) and woke at about 7:30 AM PST. So much for those grand plans of sleeping to noon. However, like the good travelers we pretend to be, we did bring a change of clothes in our carry-on so we should be reasonably presentable for much of the day (maybe not LA presentable, but at least Iowa presentable).*
The order of the morning is to find out where we are going to go when we arrive in China. From what we can discern right now, it appears that our China Southern flight will just be a day later. So instead of arriving on Friday morning, we will arrive on Saturday. Now the choice becomes whether we try to arrange to go directly to Nanchang or stay with a one day trip to Beijing? While we would defer to Nelson and Gift of Love if 24 hours in Beijing is not feasible, we both agree that this is a unique opportunity to see one of the world's great cities. Who needs sleep when you have a travel French press and bunch of little packets of coffee!
More when know it.

* The airline kept our checked baggage secure on the plane. They determined it would be more convienent (for them) to avoid having to run all of the luggage back through security and x-ray if they let us take it for the night.
